This is how my partner takes me out when he’s in the US and I’m in the Philippines. Distance might be tough, but we’ve learned to make it work one virtual date at a time. Sometimes, we pick similar restaurants like ramen spots and eat “together” over a video call, pretending we’re just sitting across from each other. Other times, we plan cozy movie nights at home, pressing play at the same time and reacting to every scene like we’re sharing one couch. It’s not the same as being physically together, but it’s still something special. It’s the effort, the laughter between buffering screens, and the shared little routines that make it feel real. Because when you both choose to show up, even from miles apart, that’s still love in its sweetest form.
