Strength Training Started
As we age, we women need to keep our bones dense. It applies to young & old alike. Advancing in years leads to naturally losing muscle mass. And when muscle decreases, it may lead to susceptibility to injuries (from weak knees, falls), slower metabolism, loss of strength & balance. Incorporating strength training in our 'road-to-fitness' routine offers many benefits, including: -- improving strength and mobility -- protecting against back pain and knee pain -- overall positive well-being On a budget & unable to afford a gym fee and program? You can try the simplest exercises at home. Take it from physiotherapist Will Harlow, for example. He has YouTube videos clearly demonstrating simple exercises (like using dumbbells, just like in my second pic taken earlier today at the gym) to reverse muscle loss. He also has a vid showing exercises to strengthen the knees, hips, and so on. All it takes is that first step and real determination to inch your way towards fitness & health 🏋️💚 #SelfCare #SelfLoveJourney #FitnessPH
