Are you aware of Pax Silica? I wanted to use this platform to spread awareness of this overlooked issue that is unfortunately being reported as a "good news" by news outlets deeming it a progress without reporting its consequences. Sadly, maraming hindi pa alam ang tungkol sa issue na ito. So, please, as a FILIPINO citizen take time to educate yourselves about this topic. 4,000 acres of our agricultural land were given to the US for this Pax Silica project (production of AI tech and war weapons) for free with only in turn of promises. Sinasabing maganda ito dahil magkakaroon ng trabaho and more promises from the US. BUT! we are giving them lands and rich mineral resources — ang lupang ginagamit ng mga magsasaka natin, ng mga indigenous people for AI INFRASTRUCTURES THAT WILL BE USE TO MAKE WEAPONS FOR WAR. PH will once again be use as a pawn and a base for their military. Meaning, isa tayo sa tatargetin ng China kapag nagkagulo sila. And btw, we have to pay 12% to sell to US, and US will pay us NOTHING! 0% for their export. So, at what cost? Nawalan tayo ng land for food production. Electricity will be use for the AI, water will be use to cool it down. There will be mining. Filipino will do the labor at a cheap price. Our natural resources na pumuprotekta satin in terms of typhoons will be gone. For what? Empty promises? AI Infrastructures? Really, AI that will replace human? So, wala na agad yung trabahong pangako nila. We are not even sure if we will even be protected if they started a war against China. Maybe our land will be protected but definitely not us, people. Or we may survive but please remember the past colonization and where slavery started. And please lang, I am not pro China just because I am against in partnering with 2 countries na nanggugulo at nag ccause ng war ngayon laban sa ibang bansa — US and Israel. I am a pro Filipino — I am with our countrymen especially the indigenous people and farmers that were greatly affected by this. Thank you for reading this humble sentiment/opinion of mine.
