Sometimes growth is invisible.
A farmer planted a bamboo seed in the ground. Every day, he watered it. He pulled away weeds, loosened the soil, and cared for it faithfully. After the first year, nothing appeared above the ground. His neighbors laughed. "Why waste your time?" they asked. But the farmer continued watering and caring for the seed. A second year passed. Still nothing. A third year passed. Nothing. A fourth year passed. Not even a tiny sprout. Many people would have given up, believing the seed was dead. Yet the farmer remained patient. He trusted the process and continued his work every day. Then, during the fifth year, a small shoot finally emerged from the soil. Within just a few weeks, the bamboo shot upward—growing dozens of feet tall. People were amazed. "How did it grow so fast?" they asked. The farmer smiled. "It didn't grow in a few weeks," he said. "It was growing for five years." During those years underground, the bamboo was developing a deep and strong root system. Without those roots, it could never have supported its tremendous height. The lesson isn't about bamboo. It's about you. 🤍 The late nights, the sacrifices, the setbacks, the effort nobody notices—none of it is wasted. Just because nothing is visible above the surface doesn't mean nothing is happening below it. Keep watering your dreams. Keep building your roots. And when your time comes, you'll rise so high that people will think it happened overnight. 🌿
