To find the right person, be the right person first

I've read this somewhere and it has been my motto in terms of relationship ever since. I am proud to say that I am single since birth. Syempre, may times na maiinggit ka sa mga may love life but at the same time, ayaw ko din magka love life because of the experiences of the people around me which I might say, very toxic and traumatic. If you asks my friends, they would tell you that I would be the last one in our circle to enter a rs because I have a reallyyy high standards in men. I mean, why would I settle for less, when I am working to be the best version of myself? I always told someone when I am asked about having a boyfriend, "I want my first and only boyfriend to be my husband". Romantic? Cringe? Impossible? Maybe, but I am the date-to-marry kind of person. "Why not try until you find the right person?" Because I am not the right person yet. I do not want to enter a rs to be fixed. I am still working towards my dream job, I still have my fair share of insecurities, and I am still working on loving myself. I do not want my partner to be my punching bag whenever I am being insecure about something. Once I am settled and happy about myself and my achievements, that "right person", will come and find me.
