Our Picks: garden harvest, breakfast, and a solo 30th

Lots of home-cooked food in this round. And a dog. And a birthday cake for one. QuirkyBunny posted a harvest straight from the garden - fresh, crunchy, "from our garden to our stomach." Salt, vinegar, a little sugar. That's it. No fancy recipe needed. Biboy's breakfast was eggplant, egg, veggies, tomatoes - simple but it screamed province home cooking. The comments turned into everyone sharing their own morning plate. Liz introduced Chloe, her four-month-old shih tzu. Active, sometimes sweet, sometimes moody. First time with the breed and you can tell she's figuring it out. JellyBeans turned thirty and celebrated alone at a restaurant. Thought it'd be awkward, but turns out everyone else was just busy living their own lives too. "Life is still worth celebrating" - short line, but it stuck. She wants company next time though.
