Love Is in the Remembering

Maybe it doesn’t hurt the same way anymore when special occasions are forgotten. Maybe I understand that people get busy, life gets heavy, and time moves fast. But sometimes I still quietly ask myself, “Why did you forget?” Not because I’m demanding too much — but because when you’ve been with someone for a long time, you start missing the little efforts more than the grand gestures. The remembering. The thought. The feeling of being considered. I may not react the way I used to, but deep down, it still matters. Because love in long-term relationships is often found in the small things people choose not to forget.
