Our Picks: faith, surprises, and the umbrella theory
This round had a bit of everything. RoYan wrote about holding onto faith on days that don't feel great. It wasn't preachy - just honest. "Not every day is happy" is such a simple thing to say, but it landed. Qekqek discovered Fugglers for the first time and couldn't stop laughing at how ugly-cute they are. Once you find out the name means Funny Ugly Monster, it gets even better. BlueSunflower04's daughter surprised her with cake and sunflowers the night before her birthday. Insisted on photos, sang a song, the whole thing. Short post but you could feel the love in it. Victorious14 shared what she called the umbrella theory - people who are only around when it's sunny but disappear when things get hard. Short read, but it makes you look around. ChickyChick wrote about switching from "good luck" to "God bless" when encouraging friends. Small shift, but the kind that sticks with you. Oh - each of the five writers gets 300 points. Not for writing perfectly, but for sharing something that felt like a real piece of their day. More of that, please.
