James ‭1‬:‭10‬-‭11‬

“But those who are rich should boast in how God has brought them low and humbled them, for all their earthly glory will one day fade away like a wildflower in the meadow. For as the scorching heat of the sun causes the petals of the wildflower to fall off and lose its appearance of beauty, so the rich in the midst of their pursuit of wealth will wither away.” ‭‭James ‭1‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭TPT‬‬ ── .✧ What area of your life would you say you are rich in or good at? Ministry? Emotions? Assets? Relationships? “Earthly glory will one day fade away.” That truth can feel frightening when we begin to make earthly things our mission, or when we start defining ourselves by those things more than by God. This verse reminds us that our ultimate goal should always be Jesus. Because if one thing remains, it is Him. No calling, no gift, no achievement, and no earthly riches will ever replace Him. Everything in this world may fade, but Christ remains constant forever. Questions to Ponder * Is there anything in your life that has slowly taken the place that only Jesus should hold in your heart? * How can you keep your relationship with Jesus at the center of your goals, gifts, and success this week?
