P1,266 a day

Saw the BIEN petition on my phone over coffee. They filed it with DOLE-NCR on April 29 asking for P1,200 daily minimum wage. The number that actually stopped me though was the smaller one in the same article, P1,266 a day, which they cited as the actual cost of living for a family of five. Read it twice. Pulled up my latest payslip and set it next to the P695 current floor (the one I'd been ignoring honestly because what was I going to do about it), then ran the gap across one real month with just the fixed bills and the transfers I send home, and the calculator kept giving me the same answer no matter how I rounded or which little discretionary line I tried to cut.
