James 1:6–8
“But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.” James 1:6–8 ESV ── .✧ For some of us, it can be very hard to take control of our minds—with all the doubts, worries, limitations of our logic, and the complexity of every possible outcome. But in today’s verses, I am reminded of a child asking his parents or guardian for ice cream. The child asks because he fully believes in the capacity of that adult to provide it. No doubts—just asking with a wholehearted faith. Today’s challenge is to ask God with a whole heart and not be double-minded. Know that He wants to bless you more than you want to be blessed. Know that He wants to save you more than you want to be saved. And whatever answer comes to your prayers, believe that it is the best answer for you. Trust that His plans are for you and not against you. In His will, you are cared for and loved more deeply than you have ever fully grasped. ᝰ.ᐟ • What doubts have been keeping you from fully trusting God in this season? • What would it look like for you to pray with wholehearted faith today? #ParakaleoDaily #ParakaleoDailyDevotionals
