softness is the source of strength

ever since socrates, emotions and feelings have always been downplayed - even cited for why plato posited that women are inferior to men. well, plato is an idiot, so was his teacher, socrates. if anything can be said about emotions - it is what keeps people going, especially us women, when all logic, strength, brutality, aggression, and what seems "right" has given up. our courage to be soft, to care, to consider the plights of even the smallest members of society - animals, plants, flowers, and children - how we value what the system calls the weakest link - is what keeps us women going even when all hope seems lost. because when we love, when we believe, with love as a promise - we become hope itself. Leonidas had no chance with his 300 - but his emotions and fury gave Greece time to prepare and changed the course of history. everytime a mother gives birth - we are fifty/fifty, yet despite all pain, we do not give up. emotions do not make us weak and childlike. emotions are what make us human, stubborn as hell, and forever resilient to patriarchal issues that have since Lilith and Adam and NOT Eve, always tried to silence our voices into the cold and lonely night. and to these leaders of patriarchy, i have but one message: unlike you, hear not our roars, for we need not roar. hear our whispers, and watch your empires crumble to dust.
