James 1:5-6a

“And if anyone longs to be wise, ask God for wisdom and he will give it! He won’t see your lack of wisdom as an opportunity to scold you over your failures but he will overwhelm your failures with his generous grace. Just make sure you ask empowered by confident faith without doubting that you will receive.” ‭‭James ‭1‬:‭5‬-‭6‬a TPT‬‬ ── .✧ In a tough world, sometimes we learn to be harsh on ourselves too. As grown-ups, as adults, we’re expected to understand the ways of life—but that isn’t always the case. But thanks be to God that we are His. We are His children. Whenever we don’t know which way to go, whenever we feel lost, we can boldly come to the throne of grace as His children. You will not be rebuked for asking for wisdom—for asking which way to go, for asking what’s next, for humbling yourself to admit that you don’t know everything, and for surrendering your ways to receive His wisdom. He is not like the world. He is not like man, who condemns you for your failures, your weaknesses, or simply for not knowing. As you come into His presence, verse 6a reminds us: ask in confident faith, without doubting that you will receive. ᝰ.ᐟ What areas of your life do you need to ask God for wisdom and trust His answer? What would it look like for you to truly trust God’s wisdom over your own today? #ParakaleoDaily #ParakaleoDailyDevotionals
