How do you know he's the one?

Everytime this question pops into my head, words come rushing-- naguunahan na para bang kailangan masabi ko lahat ng rason, to the point na nauubusan ako ng sasabihin at the same time. Pwede pala yun, no? Weird. There was this trending post on Tiktok. "Hindi lang ako binilihan ng donut, hiniwalayan ko na." And tbh, slay, sis! Get it! In this era, we don’t tolerate bare minimum and basic men. This got me thinking. May mga babae pala talagang hindi natatrato nang tama but choose to stay because they’re that blinded by love. Hindi ko masabi na that can’t be me because personally, naging ganun din ako sa exes ko. I didn’t know I could demand more as I can give the same amount as well. I didn’t know I could have more as I give no less. Alam mo yun? I chose to stay because I loved them, thinking normal lang na hindi tugma sa gusto o ayaw ko ang kayang ibigay ng taong yon. I gave them the benefit of the doubt over and over and over again. Until I can no longer justify the disrespect. And so I began to see and accept that I didn’t deserve the bare minimum. Nagising ako, mga ate ko. Thankfully. Now, how do I know I’m with the right person? Also, at this very early stage of the relationship, how can I be so sure he’s the one for me? Simple, he gives me peace. No one has ever done that before. He gives me security. I can peacefully sleep at night knowing he only cares for me, only looks at me, only sees me. We’ve been through thick and thin. I was literally on my death bed and his eyes were the last pair I looked at, and when I was almost out of the woods, his are still the very first pair I opened up my eyes to. He stayed with me when we had everything, just enough, and most especially when we had nothing. Honestly, I can write one too many words but one thing will be truthful and firm: YOU’LL JUST KNOW WHEN HE’S THE ONE BECAUSE HE’LL SET HIMSELF APART IN WAYS NO ONE CAN EVER EXPLAIN HOW.
