My Solo Batangas Weekend 🌊

I booked a solo weekend in Batangas on a Tuesday night. Almost no one knew. Just me, a bus ticket from Cubao and a cottage I found on Facebook for under two thousand. Honestly, I had been running on fumes since January. Reports, calls, family chats that never sleep, the office AC clicking again. So when payday hit and I saw the May calendar still had room before everyone else's plans crowded in, I tapped book before my brain could talk me out of it. The bus left at 5am and I slept the whole ride. By breakfast I was at a small eatery across from the sand and did not mind being alone. Salt air. A dog under my chair. (My landlady texted about a rent receipt, I left her on read for the first time ever.) Sunday I sat with my feet in the water for two hours and watched the kids next door build a sandcastle that kept falling. By 4pm I was on a bus, asleep all the way home. I came back lighter. Forty-eight hours and a fare that did not dent my take-home. Choosing myself for one weekend was the smartest thing I did all year. 🌊 #soloweekend #batangas #weekendreset #chooseyourself
