How can I become friends with a boy if I’m shy?

Is this being friends with a boy platonically? Or u actually took a liking at him?
Personally, I dont have any guys in my close friend circle. However, I do have guy friends, though the way I became friends with them is because we have a common ground. Like whether that may be assigned to a same group task, common hobby, etc. Then those small interactions lead up to friendship somehow, like I won't even notice it😆, I would just randomly call them like huyy yung ano mo hcuchcuhu. All of my close friends are girls, yet I find friends with guys easier than girls.

Hi op! As someone na puro boys ang friends, i actually find it hard to find girl friends🤣 Boys are not complicated. Most of my friends, idk what really happened kasi nag he-hello lang ako everytime na mag me-meet kami then the next thing i know, kasama ko na sila lumabas😭 be yourself lang. If you find it akward, they might sense it and distance themselves kasi some of them are afraid to start a conversation if they think you are uncomfortable.
