This Week's Picks: Staying, Breathing, Letting Go a Little
So I spent a while going through this week's posts. And the ones I kept coming back to weren't the ones trying to say something big. They were the quiet ones. The ones where someone just sat with what they were feeling and wrote it down. One post listed out reasons to keep going - not in a motivational way, more like someone reminding themselves out loud. Another talked about body image and the weight of numbers, and it didn't try to wrap things up neatly. It just said "this is where I am" and that was enough. There was also a post with a dog wearing sunglasses. That's it. That was the whole mood and honestly it made my day. Then someone shared an evening in Coron - pool, sunset, quiet - and another member posted photos from a river park that looked like a place where you'd finally stop checking your phone. Five different people, five different moments. None of them trying to be perfect. Oh and - each of the five writers gets 300 points this week. Not for saying the right thing, but for saying the real thing. More of that, please.
