What’s something you survived that most people don’t know about?

That’s a really powerful question, and it’s often where people realize how much they’ve carried quietly. A lot of people survive things like long periods of emotional burnout while still showing up for work or school, relationships where they felt unseen, doubted, or emotionally unsafe, growing up having to be “the strong one” without much support,  anxiety that looks calm on the outside but feels constant inside, carrying responsibility for others while neglecting their own needs, silently rebuilding themselves after loss, betrayal, or disappointment. And the hard part is: most of these don’t look like “survival” from the outside. People still go to work, smile, reply to messages, and function, so no one realizes what it actually costs them.  We’ve been surviving emotional exhaustion while still trying to stay strong, responsible, and composed for others. That in itself is something many people go through quietly, without anyone noticing how heavy it actually feels.
