I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER
I Know What You Did Last Summer is a 1997 slasher film about a group of teenagers whose lives are shattered after a deadly accident and a year later, someone begins stalking them. After a night of celebration, four friends Julie, Helen, Ray, and Barry accidentally hit a man while driving on a coastal road. Afraid of the consequences, they decide to dump the body and keep the incident a secret instead of reporting it to the police. A year later, Julie returns home from college and starts receiving threatening messages that read: “I know what you did last summer.” Soon, the group realizes that someone knows their dark secret and is hunting them down one by one with a hook as a weapon. As paranoia grows, the friends turn on each other while trying to uncover who is behind the revenge killings. The truth eventually reveals a survivor connected to the man they thought they killed, who has returned seeking vengeance. The film blends teen drama, guilt, and suspense, and became one of the defining horror movies of the late 1990s.
