Why do people want to have their partner's cellphone password, check their messages, and all of that?

I just don't get it, would someone explain? Thanks!

Sa'min kasi, we know each other's passwords but, we don't bother to check. I delete some messages that are irrelevant but, I notify him about it, he does the same too.

Trust issues. Seriously, if your partner doesn't trust you or you don't trust your partner to want to know phone passwords, better end it lalo if my history sa inyo na dishonest/cheater. That lingering doubt will eat you away. Move on.

Iba talaga kapag nagkaroon na ng trust issues... The anxiety it brings everyday.. u'll never want to be in that situation..

At the same time.. ano ginagawa ng isang partner para maassure ang kapartner at hindi ito magdevelop ng trust issues.....

Yeah, for security purposes. BUT I think it's unnecessary. This act MAY be the reason why someone cheats.
