Each flight takes me further away. As I soar expectantly into the sky. I’m beginning to forget details of your face. Or how your hair feels on my fingers. Your voice echoes to constant recess. As I carefully ink all my unposted letters. Memories fade like shadows on daylight. They abandon me without forewarn. What I would give to feel your warmth again. I’d tear these sable wings as an offering. -----------------------------------------
