Dear P, I earnestly prayed that you would let me it... #Poetry #Poems #Love #Loss #Romance ----------------------------------------- "Compass" Every time I write, My thoughts are all over the place, I can’t stick to one subject, Unless the subject is you, You are like a compass, Pointing me to a direction, Right or wrong, I’ll never know, I just go where you lead, Following you has drained me, I’m left fending for myself, The stars won’t help me, Fate is tearing me down, I’ve been lost for a while, But I’m still here waiting, Listening to the wind, Have you whispered any prayers? Would you let someone in? I listen faithfully in the darkness, Any sign or sound? The void is consuming me, I’m breathing it in, My senses abandon me, I can’t feel you anymore, I grow deaf in this flight, The ticking sound is now fading, Slowly, painfully, into the light. -----------------------------------------
