A treacherous smile creeps in. You woke something in me. A mind so bright I wanted to explore. I wanted to keep you. I badly wanted more. But I’m not the one for you. You long for someone else. She probably shines like the sun. My kind shies away from her. I only glow when the moon is up. When everyone slumbers and dreams. You belong in the day. Your ferocious glory bask in sunshine. I’d burn if I stepped in the light. So I keep myself hidden. Hiding in the night. -----------------------------------------
