Clutter to Clarity

I began deep cleaning and decluttering my home on March 15 and what I thought would be a simple reset turned into a quiet study of how we live. Every cabinet told a story. At least four grocery bags of “just in case” from each space visible, yet unused. So I started editing, not just cleaning. I passed on items to family if it fit their life, it found a new home. If not, it moved along until it did. There’s something deeply satisfying about watching things continue their usefulness elsewhere. Clothes beyond wear went to H&M (two medium bags, one 15% off voucher on your next purchase). Books returned to public spaces where they can be read again. The rest, sorted and offered because even what we discard can still serve. For pieces with value, I let the secondhand market decide their next chapter. Weeks in, and I’m still not done. But this no longer feels like decluttering it’s curation. A deliberate reshaping of space, energy, and intention. A reset, not just of home but of how I choose to live.
