Is it really a big deal who loves who more?

My partner and I had this talk when we were just starting. He said he doesn't believe that someone can love more than the other. I stopped him and argued that I actually think he loves me more than I love him (not that I love him less, no), but I just couldn't justify how. Six years together, we again had this conversation. And now, he also believes he offers more love into the relationship. He loves me and so he always chooses to handle me and boy, was I difficult. Now, personally I think it is a big deal. Tbh, I'm not easygoing. I'm as hard as a rock and only him can find my sweet spot. If he doesn't love me more, would he be willing to unfold my shell? I don't think so. So yes, I'm a firm believer that as a woman, you should look for someone who is willing to love you more than you love him. Because men are easy, we aren't.
