i failed

i tried using a menstrual cup but i can't put it in (haven't done it before) 😭 i don't know if i should be happy or disappointed. does any menstrual cup girlie have an advice? i don't want my money to be wasted. also, when cleaning it, does it only need to be sterilized with boiling water? do i have to have something else to clean it with?
