She's in a cage

She used to be soft, gentle, kind, and someone who cared about every little thing. "She is the love she's been looking for." She used to be, but I caged her, thinking it was for her own good. She explored, stole, raged, and burned. She's someone nobody expects to be - "The heartless". The soft side of her was imprisoned by pain, heartbreak, and mistrust, and they've crushed her. I caged her to protect her, but she never stopped trying to break free, becoming rude and distant instead. She just wants to be who she was, but her "I love you" may never be spoken again. Maybe she loves you, but her heart is caged, and she can't lend it again.
