Platonic Friendship

Hello! Newbie here! I'm just curious, is there anybody here na naka-experience having a guy friend and then may mutual feelings with each other but hindi naging situationship, let's just say they were "fond" of each other but walang nangyari since the guy did not pursue the girl but it was okay lang din kasi both of them told each other na hindi nila nakikita ang isa't-isa being that sweet with each other so they remain friends up to now. Is that possible?
