Genuine question: when recruiters say “the next step is the client interview,” is that sometimes just corporate code for “this is where we disappear”? 😅 Lately I’ve had a few headhunters reach out about roles that really align with my background. The conversations go well. I pass the initial interview. Then the final interview. They tell me the last step is the client interview — the one that should finalize everything. And then… Nothing. No update. No response to follow-ups. Just silence. I know hiring processes can change behind the scenes, but a simple update would go a long way.
