My sweet baby

Last night my 4-month-old woke up crying after only 30 minutes of sleep, which is unusual for him. He normally sleeps around 7:30 PM and wakes up at midnight for a feed. When I heard him cry, I waited for a moment and he eventually stopped. My husband and I were right beside the bed watching him quietly, trying not to make it obvious. After a while, he started staring at his little hands and softly babbling to himself. Then he made a few noises again, as if trying to get our attention. I kept telling myself to stay still and let him learn to self-soothe… but I just couldn’t. I went to him, and the moment he saw me, he gave the biggest smile. And just like that, this dramatic mom burst into tears. My baby was simply waiting for mom and dad to comfort him. He was happy… and mama was even happier.
