Adulting

I am 24, still studying. Seeing my peers graduate, build their lives, working and earning their own money.. I feel so left out. I want to have something that I can be proud of too? I want to run a business but I don't know how to start. For anyone there who owns a business, what are essential tips you must do when running a business? And what are the "not to do's"?
