Basic Respect is Non-Negotiable

Honestly, it’s really disappointing to hear comments like this especially coming from a public official. Yes, Anne Curtis is a public figure but that doesn’t mean anyone can say inappropriate things about her. She has a family, a child and most importantly, she is a WOMAN who deserves respect! Just like everyone else. This isn’t about being “overly sensitive.” It’s about basic decency and professionalism. People in positions of power should be careful with their words. What may seem like a joke to some can still hurt and set a bad example. Respect should never be optional. Everyone, especially public officials, should speak responsibly and treat others with dignity. Criticism is fine but personal attacks or inappropriate remarks are never okay.
