Different Kinds of Glow
Yesterday, my friend suddenly asked in our group chat, “Did I become ugly? I feel like I’m not glowing anymore ever since I started dating this guy.” Of course, we reassured her right away. Later, I messaged her privately and told her, “You didn’t stop glowing. You’re just glowing in a different way.” When she said she was worried that maybe he wasn’t the right person for her, it made me think. Love changes the way we glow. When you’re alone, your glow comes from self-love, independence, and fully embracing who you are. When you’re in love, the glow feels different — softer, more secure — because you feel accepted and cared for. And that’s beautiful. But here’s the important part: the right person will never make you lose your spark or dim your light. If anything, they will help you shine brighter. The right love makes you fall in love three times — with yourself, with them, and with God. No matter what, always leave love for yourself. Your glow should never disappear for someone else.
