DC KO Issue #3: Plot armor or Not?

I just finished reading DC KO Issue 3 and i NEED to talk about it! are we really saying Joker beat Zatanna AND Constantine?? Like I get it. I get that Joker’s whole narrative purpose is to raise the stakes. He’s chaos incarnate. He’s unpredictable which give him an advantage in tournament. From a storytelling standpoint, I understand why writers use him that way. And yes, I know Zatanna and Constantine aren’t Mr. Mxyzptlk-level reality warpers. BUT. From what we’ve seen across comics, both Zatanna and Constantine have bent time, warped reality, outsmarted demons, and manipulated literal cosmic forces. And Joker is just there... So watching Joker come out on top just had me sitting there like… what the hell just happened??? Maybe I’m biased. I’d love to hear your thoughts! Did this feel earned to you? Or did it feel like Joker-level narrative protection kicking in? #Comics #Geek #DC #Fandom
