Outlast Trials: Leland Coyle

It’s really interesting to me how Outlast grew into such a huge fandom over the years especially with The Outlast Trials bringing in new people. One character that people seem weirdly fascinated by is Leland Coyle, and I keep thinking about why. He’s objectively a terrible person in the story. And yet, a lot of fans are drawn to him. Some even find him “attractive” in a way. That made me stop and think what is it about him that people find so alluring? I don’t think it’s about his actions at all. I think it’s more about how he’s presented— his confidence, the way he talks, his control of a room, and the unsettling charisma he has.
