Healing Through History

Visiting the Cagsawa Ruins with the view of the majestic Mayon Volcano felt like stepping into a place where time stood still. The old church ruins tell a story of strength and survival, and standing there made me reflect on how people in the past overcame loss and rebuilt their lives. It reminded me that even after destruction, beauty can rise again. Being surrounded by that history somehow healed my inner child. It made me realize that just like the ruins, we can endure challenges and still stand tall. The calm view of the mountain brought me peace, while the history of the place reminded me that healing takes time. Sometimes, looking back at the past helps us understand ourselves better and gives our hearts the quiet strength to move forward. Moments like this remind me how important it is to take care of our mental health to slow down, reflect, and find peace within ourselves. Healing isn’t always about moving fast; sometimes it’s about pausing, accepting what’s been broken, and finding beauty in the process of becoming whole again.
