Peace in the Highlands
Baguio City has always been one of those places that naturally calm the mind. The cool breeze, the scent of pine trees, and the view of the mountains create a peaceful atmosphere that helps you slow down and breathe. Simply walking around or sitting with a cup of hot coffee reminds me that it is okay to pause and rest. Sometimes, being surrounded by nature is all it takes to clear your thoughts and find balance again. For me, Baguio is more than just a travel destination. It is a place of healing. Whenever life feels heavy, the quiet beauty of the city makes it easier to let go of worries. It teaches me that taking care of mental health does not always mean doing something big. Sometimes, it is just about going somewhere peaceful, listening to your thoughts, and allowing yourself to feel calm again. In moments like these, I’m reminded that mental health matters just as much as anything else. Taking time to recharge and reconnect with yourself isn’t selfish it’s necessary. Baguio helps me do that, reminding me that peace often starts from within.
