The Art of Plating and Tablescaping
There’s no denying that cooking, when it’s done almost everyday, feels like a chore - something I had to do rather than something I wanted to do. Don’t get me wrong - my husband and I take turns in cooking 🤪 But lately, I’ve been trying to change that mindset by treating it as a hobby instead of a task. That’s when I started getting into plating and tablescaping. Instead of just putting food on a plate, I now take a few extra minutes to make it look nice and appetizing. It’s surprising how arranging the food beautifully can instantly make the whole experience more enjoyable. Doing this feels like creating art on a plate. It helps me forget that I’m doing something routine and turns it into something relaxing and fulfilling. Even when I’m tired, seeing a meal that looks good gives me a small sense of pride. It has become my way of turning an everyday duty into a mindful moment. Now, plating isn’t just about presentation - it’s my little form of self-care and creativity amid the daily grind. #plating #tablescaping #food
