Vietnam is truly making history this year and I honestly find it so inspiring.✨ The country is sending Nguyen Huong Giang to the Miss Universe 2025 stage, making her the first transwoman from Asia to compete in the pageant. Huong Giang isn’t just a beauty queen but she’s a singer, actress, model, producer, and advocate, perfectly embodying strength, grace, and modern womanhood. The Miss Universe Vietnam organization described her as “a living testament to resilience and talent,” and I couldn’t agree more. Her message after being chosen really resonated with me: she said Miss Universe’s inclusivity isn’t about “the world lacking beautiful single women,” but about “opening doors to equality and hope.” That line gave me chills because it’s such a powerful reminder that representation matters. Seeing someone like her on that stage tells millions of people that their story, too, deserves to be seen and celebrated. Huong Giang’s journey proves that identity doesn’t limit what you can achieve and that beauty goes far beyond gender. Her confidence and purpose reflect how far pageantry has come from surface-level glamour to a true celebration of authenticity and courage.
