God's Better Plan
After graduating from senior high, I tried out for volleyball at my dream school, Enderun. I had no expectations at all, but I still gave my best and trained there for a week. When days turned into weeks and no one called back, it broke my heart. I really thought that was where I was meant to be. It felt like a door I had worked hard to open suddenly shut in front of me, and all I could do was accept it. Two years later, I got another message from Enderun asking if I still wanted to try out. Of course, I said yes. I gave it another shot and this time, the coach told me I made it. My heart was so full, but then he said they still needed to meet with the founder because things had gotten stricter for transferees. I waited again, hoping for good news, but no call ever came. I was disappointed, but this time, I accepted it with peace. I realized that maybe it was not rejection, just redirection. God had other plans for me, and true enough, more opportunities started coming my way. Sometimes, the things we pray for do not happen because something better is waiting and I believe that with all my heart.
