Where Pasta Lovers and Pizza Fans Meet
You know that moment when you and your friends can’t decide if you’re craving pasta or pizza? At Pizzulu in SM Megamall, you don’t really have to choose. It’s the perfect spot for those indecisive foodie days, because you can twirl creamy pasta one second and grab a cheesy slice the next. On our visit, we went for the Fettucine Carbonara, White Truffle Pasta, and Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza—and trust me, nobody left disappointed. The Fettucine Carbonara Pasta (₱910 sharing) was creamy, smoky, and comforting. The shiitake mushrooms and bacon gave it a nice balance, making it rich without being too plain. Definitely the type of pasta you crave after a long day. The White Truffle Pasta (₱855 sharing) felt a little more special. The truffle aroma was subtle but enough to make the dish feel elevated, like something you would usually order at a fancier place. If you want something indulgent without feeling too heavy, this is the one to go for. Of course, we had to get pizza, and the Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza (₱650 for 12 inches) did not disappoint. Generous slices of pepperoni, lots of gooey cheese, and that hint of brick oven flavor made it so satisfying. I only wished the crust edges had more crisp, but the flavors definitely made up for it. What makes Pizzulu enticing is that it gives you that little “treat yourself” vibe without going overboard. The portions are generous, the flavors are solid, and it is the kind of place you can enjoy whether you are out with friends or simply want to reward yourself with a good meal. Overall, Pizzulu at SM Megamall is perfect if you are craving pasta and pizza that feel comforting yet elevated. Definitely worth stopping by on your next mall day.
White Truffle Spaghetti Pasta
Price ₱855Not badTheir “original truffle béchamel cream sauce” gives this one a fancy restaurant-vibe. You can really taste the truffle aroma, though it’s more subtle rather than overpowering. Great for when you want something indulgent without being too heavy. Also for sharing (for two)
Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza
Price ₱650Not badTomato sauce base, loaded with pepperoni, mozzarella and cheddar. Cheese pull was satisfying. Crust was decent, brick oven flavor came through, though I wished the crust edges were crisper. The amount of pepperoni was generous for the price.
Fettucini Carbona Pasta
Price ₱910Worth itRich, creamy béchamel cream with bacon, shiitake mushrooms, and parsley. The noodles were nicely cooked, still held shape, not mushy. The bacon bits added smoky texture, though I wished there were slightly more to balance all the cream. This is for sharing (up to 2 persons).
