Every Body is a Beach Body

I still remember being body shamed for the first time. It wasn’t from a stranger online, it was from people close to me, thrown out like a joke. “Tumaba ka ah,” they said, and everyone laughed. I laughed too, but deep down, it made me want to hide my body, cover up, and avoid mirrors. I harmed myself doing unhealthy diets because of them. Then, for years, I thought I had to wait until I was “smaller” or “better” before I could wear the clothes I wanted, especially swimsuits. Then it hit me, if I keep waiting for the “perfect body,” when will I ever get to enjoy the beach, the pool, or just the freedom of feeling good in my skin? So now, I remind myself: if you don’t wear your swimsuit now, then when? Life’s too short to let body-shaming comments control our happiness. This body, exactly as it is today, deserves to feel the sun and the sea. 🌊 Body shaming leaves scars, not just on the outside but on the mind. That’s why choosing confidence is more than fashion it’s self-care and mental health. Stop hiding what keeps you alive. There’s no harm in being confident, only healing. 🫶
