My Rehab Journey 💪
When I developed jumper’s knee, it was one of the most difficult challenges I’ve faced as an athlete. The pain wasn’t just physical. It also weighed heavily on me mentally. Volleyball has always been my outlet and my safe space, so having to pause and step back felt like losing a part of myself. At first, I struggled to accept that I needed rehab. I felt frustrated, restless, and even questioned if I’d ever get back to playing the way I used to. The rehab sessions were tough, not just because of the exercises but also because they forced me to slow down and face my fears. Each session tested my patience and consistency, and there were days when I wanted to give up. But little by little, I saw progress not just in my knee, but in my mindset. This journey taught me that healing isn’t just about strengthening my body, it’s also about building mental resilience. I learned to be kinder to myself and to trust the process, even when it felt like nothing was changing. Looking back, this injury became a turning point. It reminded me that rest and recovery are essential, and that taking care of my mental health is just as important as staying physically strong. Now, every time I step back on the court, I carry those lessons with me, playing not just with strength, but with gratitude.
