Student Beep Card launching Sept 20
Good news for students and commuters like me! The discounted student Beep cards are finally launching on September 20, confirmed by the Department of Transportation (DOTr). Originally, they planned to release it on September 15, pero na delay dahil sa system issues. Buti na lang, sabi ni Acting DOTr Secretary Giovanni Lopez, they found a quick fix kaya tuloy na tuloy na this time. Starting September 20, on the spot printing na ng student Beep cards, as well as white Beep cards for senior citizens and PWDs. Kailangan mo lang magdala ng valid ID, then diretso na sa kahit anong MRT-3 or LRT-1 and LRT-2 stations. Super hassle-free! As a working girly na araw-araw sumasakay sa train, sobrang saya ko para sa mga estudyante at ibang commuters. Malaking bagay talaga ang discounted fares kahit papaano, may extra tipid na mapupunta sa ibang importanteng gastos, like school needs or pang baon. Ang galing rin na once a school year lang kailangan i renew or i reactivate yung card, kaya less stress at mas mabilis ang process.
