Coffee Dates and Connection: Building Something Real
Hii girlies! Just wanted to share something from a simple but meaningful day. My boyfriend and I went to a coffee shop near our street — nothing fancy, just our little spot. We always make time to catch up, whether it’s about life updates, random stories, good news, or even rants. Our go to spot is People's coffee and waffles. This cafe is owned by my high school schoolmates. Their drinks are so good and the pastries too. I ordered my favorite spanish latte and crinkles, while my partner ordered matcha and choco chip cookie ☺️ Tne pastries are so sift and chewy, hindi super tamis, tama lang. For the spanish latte, super kalasa sya ng caramel macchiato ng Starbucks hahahaha nakakaloka pero kaya ito laging order ko coz fabve ko din yun sa sb. Anyway, going back. For me, having a deep emotional connection with your partner is so important before jumping into the next level, like marriage. It’s not just about the romance, but about how well you really know and understand each other. I honestly tell my boyfriend everything, and he does the same. We can sense if the other one feels off, anxious, or overwhelmed. After a busy week doing our own thing, we make it a priority to sit down, talk, drink coffee or matcha, and just be present with each other. No phones, no distractions — just us. I even come up with my own saying (hahahah kinarir!) Every big decision takes a strong foundation 💞
People's Coffee and Waffles
Price ₱370Worth itSpanish Latte - super creamy and lasa ang kape hindi masyadong matamis, parang caramel macchiato ng starbucks. You can really taste the bitterness of the coffee beans (₱130) Matcha - if bet nyo yung mapait na matcha, ito na yun. Creamy but super matcha talaga sya. Not sweet at all but you can ask if gusto mo ipachange or magpa-add pamng more milk or syrup (₱150) Crinkles - super moist and not too sweet, lasa yu g bitter taste ng cacao (₱45 din afaik hehe) Chocochip cookie - chewy sya but too sweet for me kasi I like s cookies yung crunchy na mas lasa yung sweetness ng chocochip than nasa cookie dough (₱45 yata afaik)
