Apple announces the new iPhone 17 Series
Apple just released their new set of iPhones last September 9, 2025. The phones released are the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the first of its kind iPhone Air. The design of iPhone 17 is carried over from the 16 series and is sporting the new A19 chip that promises improvements over its predecessor, and a 120 Hz ProMotion display that's a welcome improvement as the base iPhone has always used 60Hz since its inception. The changes appear on the Pro series, as Apple has decided to completely change the build of the phone from last year's Titanium to unibody Aluminum. They also changed the whole back of the phone introducing a new camera setup (calling it the Camera Plateau), a design change since the iPhone 11 Pro's square camera design. It sports the A19 Pro which is 1.5% faster than last year's A18 Pro. Finally, Apple launched the thinnest iPhone ever, the Air. At 5.6mm thin, it has most internals of the Pro series (particularly the A19 Pro SoC) conveniently packed into the camera plateau, and sporting a single 48MP shooter.
