Why I Changed My Mind About the Ocean

Hi, babes! I wanted to share a little story about my simple love for the ocean and how it’s actually helped me mentally. Back then, I preferred swimming pools and honestly, I used to hate the ocean. The saltwater stung my eyes and it felt sharp and unwelcoming. But as I grew older, I realized there’s a calm beneath the surface. Swimming in the ocean now feels like a quiet, steady embrace that helps me breathe, clear my mind, and reset emotionally. Even when the water is cold, it reminds me that I’m alive and present. Diving in gives me confidence and joy—not to escape life, but to feel a part of it. It’s literally therapeutic; swimming with the fishies makes me feel lighter, more at peace, and happier. 🐟🐠🐡 Plus, I’ve learned to embrace my body and wear swimsuits confidently, which boosts my self-esteem too! Sometimes, finding a small way to connect with nature can do wonders for your mental health—it’s my little escape that keeps me grounded and happy.
