I just started watching Your Majesty and I’m now on episode 3 — and honestly, I’m hooked! I didn’t expect to enjoy it this much, but every scene keeps me curious and entertained. The story begins when chef Yeon Ji-yeong travels back to the Joseon dynasty during a solar eclipse, finding herself in a world vastly different from her own. Ji-yeong is mistaken for a suspicious outsider but impresses the tyrannical King Yi Heon with her modern cooking, leading to her appointment as the palace chef. This ensemble brings the perfect mix of romance, culinary artistry, palace drama, and time-travel fantasy. Each character enriches the story in their own way—from Ji-yeong’s modern brilliance to the king’s emotional complexity, and the power plays among the palace’s inhabitants. The mix of humor, charm, and unexpected twists makes it so easy to binge. It feels refreshing to find a series that’s light yet engaging, something that instantly takes away the stress of my day.
