Comfort Food That Feels Like Home

It had been a while since I last had North Park, but wow—I forgot just how good their food is when you’re craving Chinese-Filipino comfort dishes. We ended up ordering enough for the whole barangay (classic 🤭), but still found ourselves fighting for the last bite of each plate. Every dish felt hearty, flavorful, and built to share, but also strong enough to stand on its own with just rice. Honestly, North Park really knows how to deliver that balance of comfort and satisfaction. 🐟 Sweet & Sour Fish Fillet (Small – ₱358) Crispy fish coated in glossy, tangy sauce that walks the line between sweet comfort and sharp citrus. Every bite was crunchy on the outside, soft and flaky inside—like a hug that ends with a zing. Honestly? This dish could stand alone with just rice and I’d be happy. 8/10. 🦑 Salt & Pepper Squid (Small – ₱358) This one had me in my feelings. The squid was tender (not rubbery 🙏) and the seasoning hit all the right salty-peppery notes with just enough heat to make it exciting. The crisp batter clung perfectly to each piece—no sad soggy bits. Pair it with their vinegar dip and it’s game over. 9/10, would order again in a heartbeat. 🥦 Stir-Fried Beef with Broccoli (Small – ₱358) The beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender and soaked in this rich, savory sauce that clung to the broccoli florets like velvet. The veggies were still slightly crisp, giving that bite of freshness against the richness of the meat. It’s the kind of dish that sneaks up on you—you keep saying “last bite” and suddenly the plate is gone. 8.5/10. 🍚 North Park Signature Fried Rice (Small – ₱298) Now THIS rice??? A meal on its own. Generous toppings of egg, veggies, and bits of meat tossed into perfectly chewy grains—each spoonful flavorful, savory, and satisfying. Honestly, you don’t even need ulam with this one (though we still ordered a feast anyway 🤭). Solid 10/10 rice experience. North Park never fails to deliver—it’s the kind of place where everything feels like a table centerpiece. Whether it’s rice, squid, beef, or fish, every dish holds its own while still tasting best when shared. Comforting, hearty, and undeniably Filipino-Chinese at heart—this is food made to be fought over (in the best way possible). 🍴✨
