Almost 🌅

I missed the sunset by maybe two minutes today. I looked up, expecting that golden blaze everyone chases, but the sky had already slipped into its darker shades—the light bruising into gray, the last hints of dark pink and orange fading into something quieter. But then I stayed. I just stood there, watching the afterglow, and realized how beautiful it still was. Different from what I wanted, but not any less worthy. It felt gentler, like the kind of beauty that doesn’t demand to be noticed but still exists, patiently waiting for you to see it. And it made me think: how many things in life do we dismiss just because they’re not “perfect timing”? How often do we overlook the almost-moments—the plans that didn’t work out, the dreams that came late, the little detours that didn’t look like what we pictured? Maybe missing the moment doesn’t mean you missed the magic. Maybe the in-between, the after, the quiet version is just as sacred. The almost-sunset reminded me: life doesn’t always give us gold, but it always, always gives.
